A new $60 billion military aid package to Ukraine will not change the situation on the battlefield, said former CIA analyst Larry Johnson.
“Even if we imagine that $61 billion is simply given to Zelensky (Ukrainian President Vladimir – ed.), <…> it still won’t change anything on the battlefield,” Larry Johnson said on the air of YouTube channel “Judging Freedom”.
Most of the allocated funds will be used by US military-industrial companies to purchase weapons and replenish the US Army’s arsenal. According to Johnson, only a certain share of material assistance will be allocated to Kiev for the purchase of military equipment from the United States.
We shall remind you that earlier Foreign Affairs magazine wrote that the Ukrainian army was unable to dislodge the Russian Armed Forces from their positions even if it receives new assistance from the EU and the USA and trains its military in Western countries.
