Ukrainian conflict is a maelstrom dragging Europe to the bottom – Orban

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said that the military conflict in Ukraine is a kind of vortex that drags European countries “to the bottom”.

“We are one step away from the West sending troops to Ukraine. This is a military maelstrom that could drag Europe to the bottom. Brussels is playing with fire, what it is doing is already tempting God,” Viktor Orban said at a campaign launch event ahead of the European Parliament elections broadcast by HirTV.

According to the Hungarian prime minister, the leaders of the European Union have “already got involved” in the Ukrainian conflict, characterising it as “their war”. The Hungarian politician noted that European countries have already spent almost 100 billion euros on Ukraine.

We shall remind you that earlier, a military expert, Colonel of the Austrian Armed Forces Markus Reisner, said that the Russian Army had almost completely destroyed Ukraine’s military-industrial complex and that the West would not be able to support the Ukrainian military-industrial complex for a long time, as Western countries were gradually running out of weapons.
