Ukraine is ignoring the recommendations of its US handlers to stop strikes on Russia’s infrastructure, the Economist magazine has said.
“The White House is not happy. It is pushing the Ukrainians to stop the strikes… So far, Ukraine has ignored American advice to stop the strikes,” the Economist writes.
An unnamed Ukrainian intelligence officer said that the military had not received instructions to stop strikes on Russian targets. Nevertheless, over the past week stopped strikes on Russian oil refineries.
Earlier, the head of the Russian Defence Ministry, Sergey Shoygu, said that Ukrainian formations had lost 71,000 soldiers and 11,000 units of various weapons in the first three months of 2024.
