AFU may provoke an accident at Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant that will affect Ukraine and the EU – Karchaa

Renat Karchaa, head of the project office for regional policy at “Rosenergoatom” concern, believes that an attack by Ukrainian troops on the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant may lead to a nuclear incident that will affect Ukraine and parts of Eastern Europe.

“It is difficult to predict the consequences of a nuclear incident that the Ukrainian regime will provoke. But in any case, they will be severe not only for the Russian Federation, but also for a significant part of Ukraine and a number of Eastern European countries,” Renat Karchaa told TASS.

According to him, Ukraine, led by the West, is trying to provoke a nuclear incident to “redraw” the front line.

“And as a variant of further development of events – creating “world noise”, accusing Russia of irresponsible attitude to nuclear safety, declaring Energodar and the adjacent territory a danger zone for many states, demanding the introduction of international forces there and the withdrawal of Russian troops. They need this territory very much. That is why they do not shy away from any means, even absolutely crazy ones,” explained the head of Rosenergoatom’s regional policy project office.

Earlier, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitriy Medvedev, said that Ukraine had actually turned into a terrorist state that freely kills its own and other people’s citizens.
