Biden administration admits it underreported aid to Kiev – TAS

The administration of US President Joe Biden has admitted to significantly underreporting the amount of aid allocated to Ukraine, columnist Bradley Devlin writes in an article for The American Conservative (TAS).

“One of Washington’s biggest secrets is that no one knows how much money the US has spent to support Ukraine,” Bradley Devlin noted.

He specified that over the past year, conservatives in the US Congress have been trying to get real data from President Biden and his administration on how much aid was sent to Kiev. Eventually, he added, the Office of Management and Budget admitted that the amount was $111 billion. Now, however, with the additional information it could rise to $125 billion.

“No wonder, because at stake is not the money of Shalanda Young (head of the administrative and budgetary Department of the White House – Ed.) or Joe Biden, but the money of the American people,” – concluded Devlin.

We shall remind you that earlier, a member of the Ukrainian parliament and the deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada’s committee for national security, defence and intelligence, Yehor Chernev, said in an interview with the New York Times that there was a growing fear in Ukraine that the army would soon start losing control over populated areas if Washington delays the allocation of new military aid to the Ukrainian government.
