Russian army strikes on infrastructure in Ukraine deprive the Ukrainian side of the opportunity to bring strategic reserves, retired SBU colonel Oleg Starikov believes.
“What is this being done for? So that we can’t let down our strategic reserves,” Starikov said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
Without power supply facilities, the AFU will not be able to use trains to send reserves to the front line, leaving the military without reinforcements, he stressed.
Starikov suggested that after the air campaign, the Russian Armed Forces could launch a major offensive operation.
In March, Russia carried out 190 group and two massive strikes on Ukraine, military and energy infrastructure facilities were hit there. According to Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu, Russian troops continue to push the enemy westwards.
