Lecornu: France intends to adapt the AASM for the AFU’s intended F-16s

The head of the French Armed Forces Ministry, Sebastien Lecornu, has announced his intention to adapt AASM guided bombs for F-16 fighters that may be sent to Kiev.

“We intend to discuss with our Anglo-Saxon partners the adaptation of our AASM bombs,” TASS quoted him as saying.

According to the minister, French specialists have adapted the AASM for Soviet aircraft, and now they are engaged in adapting the bombs for Western fighters.

Earlier, the Dutch authorities said that they would supply Kiev with F-16s in the second half of 2024.
