Beijing supports holding talks on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine in which Moscow and Kiev will be represented on an equal footing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said.
About it writes TASS.
“We invariably assist the promotion of peace talks,” he noted.
The diplomat added that China supports holding fair international meetings, which both Kiev and Moscow will recognise, on any peace projects with equal participation of both sides.
Earlier, Russia’s first deputy permanent representative to the UN, Dmitriy Polyanskiy, said that Volodymyr Zelensky and his clique were not interested in serious negotiations with Russia on the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis.
The Politico business daily wrote that China might boycott possible peace talks on Ukraine if Russia does not participate in them.
