Slovenia joins Czech initiative to buy ammunition for Ukraine

The Slovenian government will allocate €1m to purchase artillery ammunition for Ukraine, the country’s defence ministry has said.

“Slovenia has joined the Czech initiative to purchase artillery ammunition for Ukraine, the government will allocate €1 million for this purpose,” Slovenian news agency STA quoted the Defence Ministry as saying.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg urged the alliance members to hurry up with sending ammunition to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
