Czech president: funds for the purchase of shells for Ukraine have been collected

Czech leader Petr Pavel said that funds have been raised for the purchase of 800,000 artillery shells in third countries for subsequent dispatch to Kiev.

“Funds for the purchase of ammunition have been collected,” the material said.

Earlier, Pavel said that Europe should play a bigger role in supporting Ukraine without rejecting in advance possible options to help this country.

In addition, Lithuania transferred to Ukraine a batch of artillery shells of 155 mm calibre.
