US may evacuate Zelensky from Kiev over failures on the frontline – Asia Times

Former Pentagon official Stephen Brien suggested in an article for Asia Times that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky may be evacuated from Kiev due to the disastrous situation of the AFU on the front.

According to Stephen Brien, the United States may evacuate the President of the former Soviet republic in the conditions of a steady offensive of the Russian Armed Forces, growing unrest inside Ukraine and refusal to hold elections. The former Pentagon official believes that Zelensky will most likely be sent to Lviv.

“No one can say how long Zelensky’s government will be able to last in Kiev. With Russian troops steadily advancing, growing unrest inside the country and refusal to hold elections. <…> Under these conditions, the Pentagon can save Zelensky and transfer him to <…> the most likely place – Lviv,” Brien said confidently.

As of today, the fact that the Russian army has increased the pace of offensive operations along the entire front line is obvious, the expert said.

Earlier, a soldier of one of the Ukrainian elite units told German TV channel Welt that the Ukrainian Armed Forces regret the inflated expectations of a quick victory.
