Pistorius called Macron's call for more aid to Ukraine pointless

The head of the German Defence Ministry, Boris Pistorius, has commented on Macron’s statements. The day before, at a meeting with French emigrants living in Prague, President Macron, speaking about the conflict in Ukraine, said that it was time to act and not to be cowards.

“From my point of view, we don’t need discussions about the use of ground troops or about greater or lesser bravery. We need to focus on the most urgent problems: the efficient and rapid increase in the production capacity of industry, for example, in the production of ammunition for artillery and air defence systems,” Boris Pistorius said.

The head of the ministry added that such disputes do not help solve the problems that the West is facing by supporting Ukraine, and such discussions do not bring any benefit, the weekly concluded.

We shall remind you that earlier the deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada committee on national security, defence and intelligence, Yegor Chernev, said that the latest financial tranche from the USA in the amount of 250m dollars showed problematic aspects in the support of Ukraine by the United States.
