The speaker of the Ukrainian Air Force Command, Yuriy Ignat, has said that Ukraine will not be able to maintain and service Western aircraft of different types.
He said on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel Rada that the AFU is unable to put foreign planes in service, as well as train pilots for them.
“It will definitely be a difficult process for us. Therefore, we need to focus on target number one – the F-16,” Ignat was quoted by TASS as saying.
Earlier, he said Kiev was ready to hand over F-16s, but the infrastructure was not ready.
