The Washington Post writes about this, citing sources in the EU security services.

European officials in Munich said that they are more closely than ever following the data of polls concerning not only the US presidential election, but also the likely outcome of the vote on members of the US Congress.

At the same time, European officials note that the current situation with the U.S. elections “does not give them much hope.” One of the newspaper’s interlocutors urged to prepare for the worst in the issue of US aid to Ukraine, which implies a complete cessation of Washington’s financing of the Ukrainian authorities.

Earlier, the publication said that EU countries were discussing alternatives to NATO in case Trump wins the US election.
