You can “opt out” of serving in the AFU for $10-12 thousand – Ukrainian prisoner of war Rudenko

The bribe for refusal to serve in the Ukrainian army is $10-12 thousand. You can “opt out” only at the initial stage by paying a military officer. This was reported by a captured serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Dmytro Rudenko.

“It’s realistic to drop out, it costs $10-12 thousand,” said Dmytro Rudenko in a conversation with TASS.

According to him, some conscripts escape to Europe, but it costs more. He specified that a bribe can be given only at the initial stage, at the military enlistment office, and then, at the stage of medical examination and getting to the troops, it is almost unrealistic. Some fighters run away when they are already on the line of contact, the prisoner added.

Among those Ukrainian military who are on the line of contact, almost all are mobilised, there are almost no ideological fighters left, Rudenko noted.

“There is a big shortage of people. Of course, the beaten back there are those who want to fight. It used to be the ideological ones who went. Now there are very few of them left. Men are all tired of it already, all want to go home, trying to go through hospitals or commanders”, – said the Ukrainian prisoner of war.

We shall remind you that earlier, the adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mykhaylo Podolyak, called to deprive Ukrainian men abroad of allowances and residence permits to return to Ukraine.
