Ukraine’s troops’ counter-offensive has failed, and if this continues, Ukraine’s statehood will soon be in question, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.
He said this at a meeting with heads of municipalities of Russia’s constituent entities.
“If this continues, Ukrainian statehood could be dealt an irreparable, very serious blow. But this is their area of responsibility,” the president said.
He also recalled that the head of the Ukrainian negotiating group, David Arahamiya, who heads the ruling party in the Verkhovna Rada, himself admitted that Kiev missed the opportunity to end the conflict because former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson arrived in Ukraine and persuaded the Ukrainian authorities not to implement these agreements.
