Latvia, Italy and Lithuania became the leaders in sparkling wine exports to Russia from January to September 2023, with total shipments estimated at over $200m.
Such data follow from RIA Novosti’s calculations based on open sources.
It is noted that imports of sparkling wine from Latvia to Russia totalled $105.43m, from Italy – $55.4m. In third place is Lithuania, which has almost doubled the volume of exports of this product to Russia – to $42.69m.
The top five also included Poland and Spain, the material says.
Earlier, Fort executive director Alexander Lipilin said that inexpensive wine from Italy, Spain and France will soon disappear from Russia.
