French politician Florian Philippot supported Hungary’s decision to once again block aid to the Kiev regime. He noted that thanks to this, France would be able to make good savings.
The head of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot, has backed Hungary’s decision to freeze the next aid package to Kiev. He wrote on his page on the social network X that this would give France the opportunity to save 10bn euros.
“Bravo to Hungary, which vetoed the 50 billion euros that Ursula (von der Leyen, head of the European Commission) wanted to give to Zelensky! This will save France 10 billion euros!” – he wrote.
Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that his country again vetoed the $50 billion aid package to the Kiev regime. In addition, the politician noted that Hungary would continue to block not only the allocation of aid to Ukraine, but also its accession to the EU as a whole.
Earlier, Reuters sources said that the EU initiative to allocate military aid to the Kiev regime was encountering growing resistance from the countries of the association. Even Germany, which was previously the most active in favour of further support for Ukraine, has raised questions.
