Five people injured in rocket attacks against Israel

Two rockets flew towards Israel from the Gaza Strip. One was intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system, and the other fell.

This was announced on Twitter by the Israel Defense Forces.

“Following the announcement of the warning operation, two launches from the Gaza Strip into the area of ​​Israel were detected. Air defense fighters intercepted one launch”, – the message says.

The rockets were fired at the settlements of Ashdod and Ashkelon. In Ashdod, a missile that was not intercepted fell near the city’s trade center. Five people were injured. One man received moderate or severe injuries, and four minor ones.

Hamas claimed responsibility for the shelling.
