Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, during which they discussed the results of the seventh round of the inter-Syrian talks in Astana, reports the press service of the Kremlin.
“During the exchange of views on the Syrian issue, in particular, the outcome of the seventh international meeting on Syria held in Astana on October 30-31 was discussed,” the report said.
The heads of state noted the importance of joint efforts in the context of the process of political settlement of the Syrian crisis.
In addition, the parties touched discussed various aspects of bilateral cooperation, including the activities of the civil society forum “Trianon Dialogue”.
It is emphasized that the conversation was of a businesslike, constructive nature.
