Russian Foreign Ministry: Islamists in Syria have access to chemical weapons

The Shaba-as-Sunn group in Syria gained access to chemical weapons. According to the Russian side, she plans to use it in the province of Deraa. This today, August 31, said the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova at a briefing in Moscow.

According to Zakharova, now in the ammunition depots of the faction in the province of Deraa there are several missiles with chemical warfare agents and the next step “Shabah Al-Sunnah” will be the accusation of government troops in the Khimatka against civilians.

As reported by EADaily, on August 29-30, parts of the 5th Ground Assault Corps, 4th and 3rd Mechanized Divisions of the Syrian Army with the support of pro-government units could significantly reduce the “cauldron” around the city of Akerbat in the province of Khama. The offensive is actively involved in aviation, striking at key defensive positions of militants of the terrorist group DAISH (“Islamic State”, IG, IGIL). In general, the Syrian army is closest to separating the Akerbat “cauldron” in the north, however, north of the Salamiyah-Itria highway, attacks by the fighters of the jihadist coalition “Hayat Tahrir ash-Sham” almost every day occur (the leading role in this alliance is played by the terrorist group “Jebhat Fathh ash “Sham”, renamed in 2016 “Djebhat an Nusra”), which distracts part of the forces.
