EU diplomacy chief Josep Borrel has said that EU countries have depleted their military stocks because of supplies to Ukraine.
He made the statement before an informal meeting in Brussels of the heads of the EU defence ministries.
‘We have depleted our stocks, we must replenish them. We have already reached 700,000 shells of 155 mm calibre,’ RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Borrel added that the EU is increasing the production of shells.
Earlier, Borrel called on the EU countries to completely lift restrictions on the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strikes on Russia.
