German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has once again refused to transfer long-range Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine, as well as to send German military personnel to the conflict zone.
In an interview with the Markische Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper, he said Berlin would do everything to prevent the conflict from escalating and Russia and NATO from clashing.
“With every arms delivery, we carefully assess what this means in this context. That’s why I have decided as I have decided,” the chancellor added.
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba admitted that Germany is irritated by questions about the supply of Taurus to Ukraine.
