A US administration spokeswoman said the United States authorities had re-listed Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement, whose members are known as Houthis, as a terrorist organisation.
At a special briefing, the official noted that the Houthis continue their attacks “despite numerous warnings and diplomatic efforts,” TASS reported.
“In response to these ongoing and intensifying attacks …. the US is placing the Ansar Allah movement, more commonly known as the Houthis, on the list of terrorist organisations,” she noted.
Earlier, the media wrote that the administration of US President Joe Biden plans to return the Houthi movement Ansar Allah to the list of foreign terrorist organisations.
