Bloomberg agency said the U.S. disappointed with Israel’s actions in Gaza

The United States is “increasingly disappointed” because of the fact that as a result of Israeli actions the number of civilian casualties in the Gaza Strip is increasing. This was reported by Bloomberg agency with reference to American officials.

Bloomberg sources said that the White House has repeatedly called on Israel to protect civilians. However, this did not prevent the Jewish state from striking the Jebaliya refugee camp. When United States authorities asked Israel about the details of the strike, the Jewish state’s response was “almost dismissive” and leaders said “their goal was achieved.”

According to Israel, Washington “does not understand the trauma” suffered by the Jewish people as a result of the attack by the radical Palestinian movement Hamas, the agency notes.

Bloomberg believes that the increased contacts between US and Israeli officials indicate the difficulties in implementing the strategy that Washington has chosen for the Jewish state after the conflict escalated. Washington’s plan is to publicly support Israel and discuss all problems behind the scenes.

According to the agency’s sources, the increasing dissatisfaction of American politicians with the actions of the Israeli government is also due to the fact that so far Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “ignored the concerns” of the White House about the fate of American hostages and other US citizens who cannot leave the Gaza Strip.

Earlier, the human rights organisation Human Rights Watch (HRW) reported that the Israeli army had used white phosphorus munitions prohibited by international conventions in strikes on sites in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.
