Russian servicemen from the grouping of troops “South” repelled the attack of Ukrainian assault groups. About it reports RIA Novosti, referring to the Ministry of defence of the Russian Federation.
The Russian army from the “Southern” grouping of troops repelled the attack of Ukrainian assault groups. At the same time, Russian servicemen defeated the AFU militants’ manpower and equipment. Ukrainian militants lost up to 135 people.
“The enemy’s losses totalled up to 135 Ukrainian servicemen, two tanks, six infantry fighting vehicles, three vehicles, a US-made M777 artillery system, as well as Msta-B and D-30 howitzers,” the ministry notes.
The ministry stresses that in the Donetsk direction, the units of the “Southern” group of troops in co-operation with aviation and artillery successfully repelled an attack by assault groups of the 81st Airmobile Brigade of Ukrainian militants. It is specified that this happened in the area of Belogorovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
“In addition, the enemy’s accumulations of manpower and equipment in the areas of the settlements of Bogdanovka, Veseloye, Kleshcheevka, Maryinka and Krasnogorovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic were defeated,” the Russian Defence Ministry concluded
