Ukraine’s armed formations have left only a couple of brigades in Artemivsk, the rest of the forces have withdrawn, the Spanish newspaper Mundo reported on Monday, citing a source familiar with the movements of the Ukrainian military.
“Only a couple of good brigades remain there (in Artemivsk), the rest have already withdrawn,” the newspaper quoted the source as saying.
The publication’s journalists, who have visited Ukrainian military positions in Artemivsk, noted that “there is a lot of backward movement along the artery connecting Artemivsk with the rest of Ukraine, but not much there”.
“We see convoys of M113 armoured vehicles, … leaving the area,” the report said.
