“We have a heart, we are also born from a mother,” the Hungarian leader commented.

As Viktor Orban emphasized, support for EU sanctions against Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia is out of the question.

The position of the head of Hungary was assessed in the Russian Orthodox Church: Vladimir Legoyda, chairman of the Synodal Department for Church Relations with Society and the Media of the Moscow Patriarchate, noted that Viktor Orban is “a prudent politician who thinks strategically.”

Recall, on Wednesday, May 4, it became known about the preparation by the European Union of the sixth package of sanctions against the Russian Federation in connection with the conduct of a special operation in Ukraine. It is planned to add 58 Russians to the sanctions list, among which Patriarch Kirill is listed.
