Israeli police storm mosque in Jerusalem

About two hundred people suffered as a result of the aggression of the Israeli security forces in the sacred place of Jerusalem.

Amid the unrest caused by a new wave of confrontation between the Palestinians and the Israeli police, security forces stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque, located on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Al-Aqsa is the third shrine of Islam along with the Al-Haram Mosque in Mecca and the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that 180 people were injured in the nighttime riots as a result of the military operation. Fifty of them were hospitalized after special forces went to storm the mosque closer to dawn, firing stun grenades at parishioners. The footage from the scene shows crowds of people running in front of the mosque through clouds of smoke.

Earlier News Front also reported that the police did not cancel the nationalist march of Israelis in Jerusalem, despite the escalation of tensions.
