According to the head of the republic, this will be done in order to destabilize the situation on the Russian peninsula.
According to RIA Novosti, the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, expressed the opinion that provocative actions of Kiev to destabilize the situation on the peninsula are quite possible.
“Locally, yes, there will be provocations on the border, in the Donbass, in the Luhansk People’s Republic. Various sabotage groups with specific missions may be sent to us”, – he said.
At the same time, Aksyonov believes that the United States will influence the Ukrainian authorities. However, he also stressed that from the point of view of defense, Crimea is impregnable, like the rest of Russia.
“There are no prospects for anyone, in military terms, we are able to repel any attacks from anyone – NATO countries and so on. Nothing threatens the Crimeans and Russians in general from this side”, – the head of the Crimea said.
