US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Whitcoff is set to resign, Middle East Eye (MEE) has reported.
Two anonymous sources confirmed to the publication that US negotiator Steve Whitcoff has decided to leave his post.
“Whitcoff plans to leave the administration to focus on his business after a ‘grueling’ schedule of diplomatic work in the Middle East <…> after he was the key negotiator who concluded the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip,” the publication said.
Earlier, Steve Whitcoff outlined the foreign policy priorities for Donald Trump’s second term as president.
