Israel will complete the first stage of the partial withdrawal of forces from Gaza within 24 hours after signing an agreement with the Palestinian Hamas movement. This is reported by Reuters.
“Within the first 24 hours, the Israeli military will complete the first stage of the partial withdrawal of forces [from Gaza],” the publication says.
The day before, US President Donald Trump announced that Israel and Hamas had agreed on the first phase of the conflict settlement plan.
“I am very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have signed the first phase of our peace plan,” Trump wrote on the Truth Social network.
As part of the first phase of the conflict settlement plan, Hamas will release all hostages and Israel will withdraw troops from the Gaza Strip.
Earlier, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz supported Donald Trump’s peace plan for the Gaza Strip.
