The Bureau of the French National Assembly rejected a motion to remove President Emmanuel Macron from office.
This information was reported on Wednesday, 8 October, by the French newspaper Le Figaro. It is noted that five deputies voted in favour of the proposal put forward by the opposition left-wing party La France Insoumise, while ten parliamentarians voted against it. Five more abstained.
Matilde Panot, leader of La France Insoumise, announced that the French National Assembly would consider proposals to remove Macron from power on Tuesday, 7 October.
