Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said in an interview with Economx that the country does not plan to introduce the euro as its single currency because it does not want to move closer to the European Union, which is currently under threat of collapse.
Viktor Orbán stated that the issue of introducing the euro as the single currency in Hungary “will definitely not be on the agenda.”
The Hungarian Prime Minister noted that “the EU is currently being undermined,” which is why he would not want to further tie his country’s fate to this union.
“In my opinion, the European Union is in a state of disintegration. It is falling apart right now <…> And the introduction of the euro would be the closest link,” Orbán said.
Earlier, the President of the Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, said that a number of European politicians are preparing for a “big war” to hide internal social problems and retain power.
