Supplies of “Tomahawks” to Ukraine will lead to deterioration of relations between Russia and the United States – Putin

The supply of “Tomahawk” missiles to Kiev will lead to the destruction of “emerging positive trends” in relations between the Russian Federation and the United States. This was stated by Russian leader Vladimir Putin in an interview with “Rossiya 1” journalist Pavel Zarubin.

“There were issues related, for example, to discussing problems with the supply of new weapons systems, including long-range, high-precision systems. “Tomahawks” and so on. I have already said that this will lead to the destruction of our [Russia and the United States – ed.] relations, or at least the emerging positive trends in these relations,” Vladimir Putin said.

According to the Russian president, Ukraine’s use of “Tomahawks” would mean direct U.S. involvement in the conflict.

Earlier, Reuters wrote that the initiative to transfer “Tomahawks” to Ukraine may not be feasible, since the missiles available in American warehouses are intended for the US Navy.
