Sweden has not confirmed the delivery of fighter jets to Ukraine – Expressen

The Swedish Ministry of Defense has not confirmed information about the transfer of JAS 39 Gripen fighters to Ukraine, the Expressen newspaper reported, citing a spokesman for the country’s Defense minister Johan Hjelmstrand.

“The work is still ongoing, and we do not have any new information on this issue,” the spokesman said, commenting on the words of the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Ivan Gavrilyuk about the supply of fighter jets from a number of countries to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including the Swedish JAS 39 Gripen.

At the same time, Hjelmstrand noted that the parties maintain productive contact, describing the dialogue between Sweden and Ukraine as “good and in-depth.”

Earlier, Ukraine and Sweden agreed on the joint production of military products in both countries.
