The political opposition in the Czech Republic wants to cancel the initiative to supply ammunition to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, writes Politico.
‘There are unacceptable profit margins, low quality and questionable suppliers. For these reasons, the issue [of supplying ammunition to Ukraine – ed.] needs to be considered at NATO level,’ said Karel Havlíček, deputy chairman of the Action of Dissatisfied Citizens movement.
Former Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš noted that the programme to purchase ammunition for Ukraine is too burdensome for Czech taxpayers and should be cancelled. According to the former prime minister, the money should be directed ‘to our own people.’
Earlier, the State Department approved the supply of satellite communication services for Starlink terminals to Ukraine worth $150 million.
