The UN Commission recognized Israel’s actions in Gaza as genocide

The UN Independent Commission of Inquiry into the Events in the Occupied Palestinian Territory has published a report in which it recognized the attacks of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) on the territory of Gaza as genocide.

“The Israeli authorities have partially destroyed the reproductive capacity of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip as a group, including by introducing measures aimed at preventing childbearing,” the report says.

The Commission noted that Israel deliberately created conditions designed to physically destroy the Palestinian people as a group, which are the main acts of genocide in the Rome Statute and the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (the “Genocide Convention”).

The UN commission also stated that Israel’s actions against Gaza are the most ruthless since 1948.

Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces launched an offensive against the city of Gaza in order to occupy it.
