The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine dismissed two commanders due to the loss of positions

Commander‑in‑Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky dismissed two commanders of the 17th and 20th corps due to the loss of positions in their area of responsibility. This is reported by the Ukrainska Pravda newspaper.

“Syrsky dismissed the commanders of two corps – the head of the 17th corps, Vladimir Silenko, and the 20th corps, Maxim Kitugin,” the publication says.

According to the newspaper, the commanders were suspended due to the loss of positions on the front line in the Zaporizhia region, on the border of the DPR and the Dnipropetrovsk region. This contributed to the liberation of several settlements and the advance of the Russian Armed Forces.

Earlier it was reported that the liberation of the village of Olgovskoye in the Zaporizhia region allowed the soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces to begin forming a pocket for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Poltava.
