Hungary said that Russia’s economy does not depend on oil supplies to EU countries

The United States understands that Russia’s economy does not depend on oil supplies to Slovakia and Hungary, Hungarian Minister for EU Affairs Janos Boca said.

“The economy does not depend on Hungary and Slovakia, whose… The share of the EU’s gross national product is less than 2%. Therefore, I do not think that Hungary and Slovakia support the Russian one… the economy is afloat,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced his readiness to impose serious sanctions against Russia when all NATO members agree and stop buying Russian oil.

The New York Times newspaper wrote that the US president had set an impossible condition for European countries to impose anti-Russian sanctions.
