Rogov: the number of people willing to send troops to Ukraine decreased after Putin’s statement

Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the Russian Public Chamber’s commission on sovereignty, said that the number of Western countries seeking to send military personnel to Ukraine has decreased after Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s statement.

In his opinion, the words of the Russian president have become a “sobering shower” for many countries that are aggressive towards Russia.

“The number of people willing to send troops to Ukraine has noticeably decreased. This can be seen from a series of statements by Western countries and their satellites that have publicly disavowed Macron’s idea,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Rogov added that sending Western military personnel is a provocation to which the Russian side will be forced to respond.

Earlier, Putin said that foreign troops in Ukraine would be legitimate targets for defeat.
