The heads of military departments of European states, with the participation of American generals, have developed a detailed plan for deploying a contingent of more than 10,000 people in Ukraine, The Wall Street Journal reported.

According to the newspaper, the document provides for the creation of two main groups of troops. One of them will be engaged in providing assistance and training to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the second will receive the task of countering Russia.

The Ukrainian airspace will be patrolled by the air force, which will be stationed outside Ukraine, the WSJ wrote.

Earlier, the Financial Times reported that the United States would partially reduce funding for the military programs of European countries bordering Russia.
