Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjártó said that his country is ready to host the Russia-USA-Ukraine summit, guaranteeing the safety of all participants.
“If necessary, we are here, we will provide appropriate fair and safe conditions at any time. We will be glad to have such peace talks if we can contribute to the success of peace efforts, if we are needed,” Peter Szijjártó said on the Wrestling Hour program.
According to the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, Budapest is a plausible place, because Hungary immediately after the outbreak of the conflict offered both Russia and Ukraine to hold talks.
Szijjártó also called the ability of Hungary and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to maintain a mutually respectful dialogue with both Russia and the United States despite “enormous pressure” a “huge and unique” achievement.
Earlier, the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the country was ready to become a host or mediator in the negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky.
