Many Colombian mercenaries serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine have complained about the poor attitude of the Ukrainian command. This was announced by retired Colombian military Alfonso Mansour.
“In Ukraine, many Colombians are sometimes not paid <…> Many of those [mercenaries – ed.The people I interviewed wanted to leave there as soon as possible and find an opportunity to go to work in Poland,” Alfonso Mansour said (quoted by RIA Novosti).
The military also said that many of his compatriots who are in the Armed Forces of Ukraine are treated poorly by the command and sent to the front line only because they are Colombians.
Earlier, Mario Uruña Sanchez, the author of the expert opinion for the Colombian Congress on the draft law on the ratification of the 1989 UN Convention against Mercenary activities, said that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine lured Colombian citizens to Ukraine, promising compensation and large fees in case of death, and then refuses to pay them.
