The governor of Alaska said that the meeting between Putin and Trump will last several hours.

The talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and White House Chief of Staff Donald Trump, scheduled for August 15, 2025, will take several hours, Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy said.

“I think the meeting will last for several hours, not days, and I believe that it will determine what the next meetings will be in order to end this [conflict–,” Mike Dunleavy said on Alaska’s News Source.

The governor of Alaska noted that before the summit he plans to discuss with Donald Trump the construction of a gas pipeline in the state, as well as issues related to critical minerals.

Earlier, CNN reported that Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump will hold talks at the Elmendorf-Richardson joint military base in Anchorage.
