The UK plans to take up to 300 sick children from the Gaza Strip for subsequent treatment by the National Health Service.
This was reported by The Times newspaper, noting that these measures will be announced in a few weeks.
“This program will operate in parallel with the program implemented by the organization Project Pure Hope, created by medical volunteers to deliver sick and injured children from Gaza to the UK for treatment,” the article says.
Earlier, it was reported that there is an acute shortage of food in the Gaza Strip — because of this, the children of local residents are on the verge of death.
The Palestinian Hamas movement meanwhile has announced its readiness to resume ceasefire talks with Israel as soon as the humanitarian crisis and famine in the Gaza Strip are put to an end.
