Roman Kostenko, Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence, said that Ukrainians are not receiving draft notices due to a lack of funds for envelopes. This was reported in the publication Strana.
According to Roman Kostenko, about 1.5 million Ukrainian citizens have not registered for military service because of this problem.
‘This is absurd, and I don’t know how to explain it,’ Kostenko added.
Earlier, the social security department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that monthly payments to captured Ukrainian servicemen would be discontinued.
