France warns of the risk of war in Europe by 2030

The French authorities have admitted that a major military conflict could break out in Europe by 2030. This is stated in the 2025 Strategic National Review, published on the website of the French General Secretariat for Defence and National Security.

According to the document, the main threat to France and other European countries could be an armed conflict involving European countries.

‘In the coming years, as well as by 2030, the main threat to France and Europeans is the risk of open war in the heart of Europe,’ the review says.

The authors of the document also wrote about Russia’s hypothetical participation in military operations in Europe. In particular, Moldova and the Balkans are named as important regions for the Russian Federation.

The authors of the review also fear a military conflict between Russia and NATO countries.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that geopolitical interests, rather than ideological differences, were at the heart of the contradictions between the West and Russia.
