MP Bezugla calls for mobilisation of women in Ukraine

Verkhovna Rada MP Mariana Bezugla has stated the need to begin mobilising the female population of Ukraine for subsequent deployment to rear positions.

‘What about women? We should have mobilised them for defence enterprises and rear positions long ago. You can’t win a war with half your strength,’ said Mariana Bezuhla, as quoted by the newspaper Strana.

In addition, the Ukrainian parliamentarian called on people to go out into the streets and see ‘how many healthy thirty-year-old men are left there,’ since many Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers ‘have been fighting for four years now.’

Earlier, Verkhovna Rada deputy Sergei Yevtushok said that if the minimum mobilisation age in Ukraine were lowered from 25 to 24, another 100,000 people could be drafted into the Ukrainian army.
