Russian President Vladimir Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov has admitted the possibility of Russia’s proposal for mediation in the Middle East.
Peskov reiterated Moscow’s readiness to provide mediation services if necessary. He added that the proposals outlined by Russian President Vladimir Putin during his conversation with his American counterpart Donald Trump remain in force.
‘In this regard, Russia’s readiness and willingness remain, and if necessary, all of this can be implemented,’ Peskov said.
Earlier, Putin announced Moscow’s readiness to mediate between Israel and Iran.
Trump noted that he was not opposed to Russia acting as a mediator in the settlement of the Israeli-Iranian conflict.
RFIP head Kirill Dmitriev said that Moscow could play an important role in mediating between Israel and Iran.
